Waiting & Trust
When the door hasn't opened, the healing hasn't arrived, or the answer still feels far away. This path meets you in the silence and helps you find God there.
Waiting & Trust Growth Plan
Current Focus: Naming what you are waiting for, without pretending you are fine
You shared that "the weight of waiting for something I have been praying about for a long time". This path is designed for exactly that. And because you mentioned feeling distant from God right now, this journey begins with being seen rather than trying to fix everything at once. One of the hardest parts of waiting is not the delay itself but the quiet fear that you have been forgotten. You begin to wonder if you misheard God, if you did something wrong, or if the longing in your heart will ever be answered. That doubt is not a sign of weak faith. It is the honest ache of a heart that still wants to believe. You do not have to pretend you are fine. God already sees the longing you have been carrying, and He is not asking you to clean it up before you bring it to Him. The most courageous thing you can do today is simply tell the truth about what you want. Naming the longing is where your healing begins. When you say it out loud, write it down, and stop minimizing it, you are no longer hiding from God or from yourself. You are letting Him meet you exactly where you are.
You are at the beginning of your waiting journey. In this stage, you are learning to be honest about where you are. Remember: you shared that "the weight of waiting for something I have been praying about for a long time". That honesty is your strength. Even though you feel distant, God is closer than you think.
You are establishing the foundation of your journey. God is meeting you right where you are.

“Hannah had lived with a barren womb for years, and the longing for a child had become a private ache she carried in silence. Year after year she watched others celebrate while her own arms remained empty. The shame was heavy, and the questions were heavier still. But one day, in raw desperation, she went to the temple and poured out her soul before the LORD. She did not tidy up her prayer or make it sound spiritual. She wept. She groaned. She let the truth spill out of her in a way that looked so undignified the priest thought she was drunk. That is the kind of honesty God invites. He does not ask you to compose your prayers before you bring them. He asks you to bring your real heart, the broken one, the angry one, the desperate one. When you name your longing out loud, you stop hiding from God and start letting Him meet you exactly where you are. Hannah's story reminds us that the first step in waiting is not patience. It is honesty. God does not meet you at the place you think you should be. He meets you where you are, tears and all, and He begins His work there.”
The first step in waiting is not patience but honesty. God meets you where you are, not where you think you should be.
Take three slow breaths. Then start: "God, today I feel..." Let the words come without editing.
Where does naming what you are waiting for, without pretending you are fine show up most honestly in your life right now? Not the polished version. The real one.
Slowly read, reflect, and let the Word sink deep.
Read the passage aloud once. Then read it again slowly, pausing at each phrase. Ask: What is God saying to me through this today? Write down one word or phrase that stands out.
Write a letter to God naming exactly what you are waiting for. Include the date you first started praying for it. Write one sentence about what you are afraid might happen if the answer never comes. This is your first act of trust.
